Hi and happy new year to all of youI already asked about this set in a Tama forum but only got one answer, so maybe some of you guys might help me identify a Tama Swingstar Set.These are the serial numbers:Bassdrum 16303653Tom 1 16303539Tom 2 16303591Floor Tom 16304075Snare (not sure, if this is a Swingstar) 15403111What kind of wood was used those days?I could buy this set including the hardware (is this Superstar hardware?) and some cymbalsHiHat Meinl Marathon 14' MediumRide Meinl Marathon 20'Crash Paiste 302 16' (I know these are not the real hot stuff )for 300 Euros. Is this set worth it, is it a reasonable price? I might use it in a Elvis Show Band (I'm thinking of a new wrap maybe.)Just to point it out: I know that this is not the real 'worth collecting vintage drumset', I'm just trying to get as much information as I can before I buy it and maybe I can benefit from some of your experience.Any help, links and information highly appreciated! Thanks for all the answers!Yeah davezedlee, I was wondering about those XLR jacks too,but maybe they could be kind of handy, I don't know.@ fatchoppers: once I decide to buy them, I don't thinkI will sell them again, I could use them as a set for studentswhile teaching etc.I'm actually looking for a Superstar set, but they are somewhathard to find here in Germany, at least right now as I'm lookingfor them.;-)Thank you guys so far. These Swingstars seem to be modified, at least with the jacks andmaybe the lugs, too?

Tama’s rich experience in the manufacture of crop packaging and our own familiarity with mechanical cotton harvesting on our farm, positioned Tama to cooperate with John Deere and develop the new packaging for cotton being baled as part of the harvest process.Tama RMW ™ was developed to complement the John Deere 7760 CP690 CS690 cotton harvesters that bale the cotton in a continuous process without stopping the harvester. This innovative wrap is specially designed to avoid the potential of plastic fragments and the risk of cotton contamination. It assures reliable automatic packaging for non-stop harvesting, helps to maintain the quality of cotton in round modules which are exposed to extreme conditions, and helps to eliminate waste.Check Tama RMW ™ website.

The badges all have serial numbers, but they don't have the year prefix. All others i have seen had a 2 digit prefix that indicated the manufacture date (83-xxxxx), for example. Some of mine have serials reading 9x,xxx.

Obviously, the CNN website can detect that I’m using an ad blocker. What a bummer.I can easily whitelist those sites, but it’s going to be very time-consuming because I don’t know which sites are like CNN and which are not. Also, I want to ensure I never run into this problem again. Google addons for chrome. Looks familiar?
